Looking back at Kleos’ history, its track record was marked by several milestones that changed today’s telecommunication landscape. We invite you to check out below key milestones that represent major chapters in our success story so far:

  • 2020

Pegasus is commercially deployed and has repeatedly demonstrated the superiority of its technology even in the toughest and the most demanding of radio environments.

Kleos is now in the design phase of a real and revolutionary 5G platform that goes well beyond a simple upgrade to LTE Rel15.

  • 2017

In April 2017 Kleos completed the design and Field Acceptance Testing of its 2nd Generation platform Pegasus that constitutes the focal point of Kleos current activity.

  • 2009

In September 2009 Kleos secured its first license as an operator in the Kingdom of Bahrain and co-established Greenisis, the first Green Wireless Broadband platform.

The network was successfully deployed and supported by a set of highly advanced tools to efficiently run the operation in Bahrain.

  • 2007

In January 2007 Kleos developed an advanced public safety platform which utilizes unique features of its wireless platform rendering it immune to jamming and interception.

The iBurst was considered as one of the most advanced systems at the time and offered higher speeds, capacity and coverage than any other contemporary system. Over 24 iBurst networks were deployed between 2003 and 2012, with over 300,000 subscribers using these networks. iBurst technology was phased out in 2012 nevertheless it was used as the stepping stone for creating a superior 4G+ base station, Pegasus.

  • 2000

Kleos was founded by a group of leading engineers who developed the vision of IP based connectivity becoming a commodity using wireless IP switching.

The founders of Kleos were at the origin of HC-SDMA, the basis of the TDD version of 802.20.
